Bike Share back in March
Due to weather, the Binghamton University Gotcha bikes have been stored away for the winter months. Weather depending, the bikes will be available again in March.
Want to ride a bike for free without having to bring your own to campus? The Binghamton University Bike Share program offers free bike rentals to students, faculty and staff!
Bike Share has partnered with Gotcha Bike, a bike share and technology company, to bring 30 GPS-enabled bikes to campus. These bikes are located in four locations on the main campus. Visit the Gotcha Bike link below to find the location nearest you!
So how does it work? Download the free Gotcha app at app.socialbicycles.com to join and reserve, or you may reserve a bike on a bike itself. Once you've reserved a ride, enter your four-digit PIN code on the keypad to unlock the bike. Bikes may be reserved at no charge for two hours and for $5 an hour after the two-hour time period.
If you need to stop, you may press the "HOLD" button and lock the bike to a rack. To unlock the bike you will re-enter your four-digit PIN and continue riding. The "HOLD" feature allows you to stop and lock your bike during a ride. It does not pause your reserve time. To end your trip, lock your bike at one of the Gotcha Bike locations on campus. Any rider who does not return a bike to a Gotcha Bike rack will be charged a $50 fine. For more information, visit the link below.
Ride a bike on your way to class or around the local nature trails! Enjoy everything this campus has to offer.
