Scheduling an Appointment - External Exam

External (Non-Binghamton) Exams

External exams include those from other institutions, organizations, or companies, regardless of location (local, out-of-state, or international). These exams may be administered on paper or computer, as directed by your authorized representative.

Please note that the UTC does not offer remote (off-campus) proctoring. If you need proctoring outside of Binghamton University's main campus, please contact your testing representative (instructor or other individual responsible for the exam) for alternatives.

Make an Appointment

As the test taker, it is your responsibility to:

  • Communicate your testing arrangements with your testing representative
  • Receive necessary approval to utilize our center
  • Complete any required paperwork
  • Provide any additional information requested by your testing representative

If you need proof of exam registration beyond the confirmation email provided to you, you must contact our office for assistance.

Reservations for in-person proctoring for a non-Binghamton exam can be made by navigating to our RegisterBlast site and selecting the "External (Non-Binghamton) Exam" exam group. This form may be filled out by the test taker or an authorized representative responsible for the administration of the exam.

Please note that there is a $25.00 USD per-exam fee for external proctoring. Paper exams requiring return mailing may be subject to additional postage fees.

The UTC does not proctor most standardized exams (e.g. SAT, TOEFL, GRE, LSAT) as they must be administered at designated centers. These exams will often have a directory of centers that you may choose from when registering. If your testing organization permits the use of outside proctors and requires an approval form for permission, we can often assist. Information about our center for those forms are as follows:

  • Contact Person: Carrie Solomon
  • Title: Director of the University Testing Center at Binghamton University
  • Mailing Address: PO Box 6000, Binghamton, NY 13902-6000
  • Physical Address: 4400 Vestal Pkwy East; Old Johnson Hall, Room 324; Binghamton, NY 13902
  • Email Address: testing@binghamton.edu
  • Phone Number: 607-777-2014
  • Website: www.binghamton.edu/clt/utc/

If you are unsure if your exam qualifies for proctoring with our office, please contact us.
