Survey work in Harpur Quad area Nov. 27 - Dec. 1
A survey crew will be on campus Monday, Nov. 27 through Friday, Dec.1 in the area of Harper Quad, Science 1, and the Lecture Hall. The work is not expected to affect pedestrian circulation or campus operations. Surveyors are gathering information for a future project. Sign installation at Pharmacy R&D rescheduled to Dec. 4
Due to weather, sign installation at the Pharmacy R&D building that had been scheduled for Nov. 29 has been rescheduled to Monday, Dec. 4. Approximately four or five parking spaces will be offline during the work which will take a couple of hours. Crane work at Old Rafuse Nov.29
Crane work to place mechanical equipment at Old Rafuse will take place from 7 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 29. The work is not expected to affect normal campus operations. Contact Jason Williams with any questions at jrwillia@binghamton.edu or 777-6491.
Stairwell painting in Health Sciences Building Dec. 2
Painting will take place in stairwell C of the Health Sciences Building from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2. The stairwell can still be used for emergency exiting during the work. Upcoming Library renovation work Dec. 30 & Jan. 6
As the Library renovation project continues, a heads up about two upcoming construction
activities that will affect the building. More details will be shared as coordination
with the contractor and building occupants is finalized. But a quick heads up about
these two planned events:
- Saturday, Dec. 30- Crane pick at the Library - No one will be allowed in the building
from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, Jan. 6 (backup date is Sunday, Jan. 7 - Electrical shutdown at the Library,
similar to one that occured last year. Only emergency lightning will be available
and building occupants will be advised to shut down computers and empty refrigerators
prior to the shutdown. No one will be permitted in the building from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
the day of the shutdown.
