Recycling Program Volunteers and Internships

Office of Recycling and Resource Management

Are you interested in making our campus “greener”? Want to build your resume and earn class credit while working to preserve our environment? Then become an intern/volunteer for the Office of Recycling and Resource Management.

The success of our program relies heavily on the students that work with our office. We need students to help us organize and carry out sustainability initiatives as well as to educate others on campus and in the surrounding community. This includes:

  • collecting the various recycling waste streams on campus
  • creating educational displays
  • tracking recycling weights
  • planning the Earth Day celebration, and
  • tracking campus contamination rates.

As a part of the recycling team your ideas will be valued and put into action.

To apply, please send the following information to recycle@binghamton.edu with “Recycling Internship” and the semester/year you are applying for in the subject line:

  • Resume- Please label (YourName_Resume) E.g. JohnDoe_Resume
  • Class Schedule - Please give additional info on any likely changes
  • Year – (freshman, sophomore, etc.)
