Students who fail to comply with the responsibilities noted in these documents and/or in University policies adopted as a result of COVID-19 may be administratively removed from University housing. Such action will ordinarily be taken only after prior warning; however, the University reserves the right to remove a student from housing on the basis of a single substantial and intentional violation of the COVID-19-related safety measures. Summer Residential Life staff
The Apartments Community Office is located in the Susquehanna complex in Choconut building 102. During the summer months, the office is open 8 a.m. – noon and 1–4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Students can email the office at apts@binghamton.edu, call us at 607-777-2904 or stop by in person for assistance.
The apartment complexes — Hillside and Susquehanna — have five Resident Assistants (RAs) to serve as peer support for students during the summer months. The RAs will be reaching out to establish connections and get to know each of their residents, host a community builder event in each complex during each summer session and provide evening duty coverage.
Each night of the summer, an RA is on duty in the Hillside RA office located in the Hillside Commons and the Susquehanna RA office located in cluster 3 of the Nanticoke building, from 7–11 p.m. and then “on-call” in their summer apartment overnight through 8 a.m. the following morning. RAs are available to assist with lock-outs, submit maintenance requests for non-Binghamton University students (Binghamton University students can submit directly through the online system), provide information about campus, help with apartment-mate issues, address University policy violations and assist University staff during emergencies.
