Campus safety measures

The safety of our students and the entire campus community is of the highest priority at Binghamton University, and the University has developed comprehensive programs and procedures to help every member of the University community remain safe. Our safety efforts touch all facets of our students' daily lives, whether in a residence hall, classroom, dining facility, office or out and about on campus. For a listing of our safety measures, visit the campus safety webpage.

A reminder during COVID-19 about walking escorts

Safe Ride will be unable to provide vehicle escorts this fall. The size of the vehicles does not allow for social distancing, creating a risk to student drivers. Instead, University Police will provide walking escorts for anyone who does not feel safe walking on campus. This service is available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Students, faculty and staff can request a safe walking escort by calling University Police at 607-777-2393.
