These suggested course tracks are based on undergraduate requirements from the class entering in the 2021-22 academic year. These are only suggestions, refer to the University Bulletin for the official requirements for each major.

Take note of Pre- or Co-requisites

4 + 1 Master's Programs

Complete a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in five years by taking up to three graduate course in your senior (fourth) year. In your fifth year, you are admitted to the Graduate School and focus solely on graduate work to finish your master's degree.

Technical Elective Requirements for Mechanical Engineering Majors

It is recommended to satisfy the four technical electives with Mechanical Engineering lecture courses with numbers between 300-490 not required for the ME major or 500-590 (registration requires instructor’s approval)

Internship (ME 396/496) or Independent Study (ME 397/497/597) courses cannot be used as Technical Electives.
