Campaign tops $100 million

The University’s comprehensive fundraising initiative, Bold.Brilliant.Binghamton — The Campaign for Binghamton University, ended June 30, achieving great success and exceeding ambitious expectations.

With help from more than 30,000 donors, volunteers and other supporters, the campaign surpassed its initial goal of $95 million and concluded beyond its new goal of $100 million — a tremendous feat particularly given the economic challenges that occurred during the term of the campaign.

  • We’re still tallying up the final figures, but we do know funds raised as part of Bold.Brilliant.Binghamton are more than double the amount secured in the previous Believe campaign, which raised $43.69 million.
  • The average gift is more than twice as large this time around.
  • Gifts to Bold.Brilliant.Binghamton include a nearly $43.61 million commitment from one donor. There were no eight-figure gifts made in the previous campaign.

This critical funding will be used to ensure a bright and strong future for the University and enable Binghamton to continue offering a premier academic experience to students.

Private contributions are crucial to the advancement and success of the University. The campaign will support faculty development, student scholarships, academic and research programs, and the greatest needs at Binghamton for years to come.

An opportunity to thank contributors and celebrate the successful end to the campaign will be held Oct. 12, during Homecoming Weekend.
