The department on Environmental Health and Safety maintains Safety Data Sheets (SDS's) for all chemicals at Binghamton University in accordance with the Hazard Communication Program. It is recommended that all labs maintain hard copies of SDS specific to their lab. During an emergency Principal Investigators must be able to provide emergency personnel a copy of the SDS. Anyone working with a chemical must have access to the SDS for that chemical.
How to obtain a Safety Data Sheet
- Request an SDS when ordering new chemicals (send copy to EH&S)
