Forum topic centers on graduate’s work in virtual reality

Psychologist Albert “Skip” Rizzo, PhD ’91, was the guest speaker at a Binghamton University Forum event on March 17. He presented “Virtual Reality Goes to War: Clinical Applications for the Prevention, Assessment and Treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress.”

Rizzo is director of medical virtual reality for the University of California’s Institute for Creative Technologies and research professor in the University of Southern California’s Department of Psychiatry and School of Gerontology.

The Binghamton University Forum is a membership organization made up of business, professional and community leaders. The forum hosts events that encourage new thinking, generate discussion and provide networking opportunities.
