Senior Director of Alumni Engagement retires

Rose Frierman, MA ’90, senior director of alumni engagement, retired June 30, following a distinguished 31-year career at Binghamton University. She joined the alumni relations office as an assistant director in 1986, after working for four years in the admissions office of her alma mater Elmira College. Frierman later became senior associate director of Binghamton’s alumni office before she was promoted to director in 2005. Under her leadership, the University crafted its first-ever campus-wide strategic plan for alumni engagement, and Binghamton has taken great leaps forward in engaging more alumni in the life of the University. She and her husband, Howard, will relocate to Ocala, Fla.
