A conference for women by women

The inaugural Binghamton Women’s Weekend, held Oct. 20-22, in Manhattan, brought together about 125 women connected to Binghamton University — alumnae, parents, friends — for an informative and engaging conference focused on career success, life-skill enhancement and personal fulfillment. With sessions geared specifically for and presented by women, this event strengthened attendees’ connections to the University and each other. Celeste Headlee, public broadcast radio show host and author of Heard Mentality, was the keynote speaker and discussed the art of conversation and focused listening. U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand was the featured speaker at the weekend’s farewell breakfast. The Binghamton Women’s Weekend 2017 digital and social media campaign garnered a total of 193,586 views online through a mix of blogs, photos, videos and ads.
