Center for Civic Engagement

The Center for Civic Engagement hosted a forum for the Binghamton mayoral candidates, Tarik Abdelazim and Rich David, Friday, Oct. 13, at the University Downtown Center, emceed by NewsChannel 34’s Jim Ehmke. Over 100 students, staff, faculty and community members attended.

Each candidate appeared separately and was asked the same series of questions about his stance on issues that would be of interest to students and others in the campus community.
 
On Election Day, 330 students voted on campus, up from 36 students in 2013, and 170 students in 2015, during the last off-year elections.
