Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development

The third annual Career Champions Breakfast was held Thursday, Nov. 9, when 150 Career Champions nominated by students were recognized. These individuals empower students to find their purpose, identify and reach their goals, prepare for and solidify future professional plans, and gain full-time employment.

The Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development continues to show increases in the use of its services, according to its annual report:

• Event attendance is up 25 percent over the 27,427 total attendees in 2016-17
• One-on-one career consulting sessions are up 8 percent from the 7,246 total sessions in 2016-17
• There has been a 20 percent increase in job and internship postings following the implantation of Handshake.

The Fleishman Center launched its first-ever five-year strategic plan, through which the center seeks to build the career center of tomorrow to best serve student career success at Binghamton University. The plan outlines four strategic priorities that will guide the center’s work for the next five years.
