Rap artist Post Malone concert biggest in years

The Student Association Programming Board threw the biggest concert in years at the Events Center Thursday, Nov. 30, hosting a sold-out show with nearly 5,000 tickets purchased to see and hear Post Malone, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise in hip-hop at just 22 years of age. After inking a deal with Republic Records, the eccentric artist has recently become an industry superstar with just one studio album under his belt. Malone released his debut offering Stoney in late 2016, but gained notoriety with his viral single “White Iverson” in February 2015. He’s had a two top-10 hits on the Billboard charts (including his number one hit “Rockstar”) in the last four months, which increased his popularity and the interest for tickets on campus.
