Binghamton in the City exposes students to career fields and accomplished alumni

The Alumni Engagement Office and a number of campus partners collaborated to offer students a wealth of career development programs in New York City during winter recess. Binghamton in the City makes the University more visible in the region and leverages the power of the University’s vast alumni network.

From Jan. 8-12, alumni hosted students at a variety of workplaces, such as Bloomberg, Madison Square Garden and DreamWorks Animation TV. At Metro Connections Night, almost 400 students engaged in informational interviews with about 130 alumni volunteers. This enabled the students to explore a wide range of career fields at one time, under one roof. Binghamton in the City week kicked off with a reception for alumni, students and families at Bryant Park’s ice rink – with attendance near 500.
