Faculty Research Support Program

The Division of Research and the Office of the Provost have established the Faculty Research Support Program (FRSP) to provide funds to assist faculty who have a history of successful funding and require bridging support for the generation of data needed to submit a proposal for funding in their area of expertise. Projects funded through this program are expected to lead to the submission of a proposal for external support within one year of project completion. Proposals from all areas of scholarship are encouraged.

Two to three twelve-month awards will be made for projects beginning June 1, 2017.  This program will provide a total of $50,000 (co-funded by the applicant’s Department, the Office of the Provost, and the Division of Research) and one Graduate Assistant (GA) for one year (provided by the Department) to each applicant selected. Collaborative proposals are encouraged. In those cases, one of the Co-PIs must meet the eligibility requirements.

All necessary information regarding faculty eligibility for this program can be found in the guidelines below.

Submit completed applications to by February 1, 2017.
