Binghamton University’s Environmental Health and Safety Department is an institution developed in 1974 to provide safety guidance and to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations. Your role as a faculty member will be to work in tandem with EH&S to promote a safe campus environment for all students, faculty, and visitors.
Our Mission is to work with department chairs, deans, Vice Presidents, and campus professors to ensure a safe working environment for all. EH&S does more than chemical hygiene though! We issue campfire permits for students using the fire pits, permits for contractors engaged in high risk activities, and ensure fire protection compliance for all campus buildings, including dorms.
