Binghamton University Telecommunications provides and maintains telecommunications services by utilizing research and evaluation of new technologies, providing cost-effective solutions and implementation for improvements and enhancements for University-wide connections.

Emergency Alert System
Binghamton University uses the RAVE messaging system as its emergency email and text messaging provider. This system will allow you to change or remove your ability to receive emergency alert notifications. All members of the campus community are encouraged to check their account.

Mandatory 10-Digit Dialing IS HERE!

Effective on October 24, 2021, you must dial 8 + 10-digits (area code + telephone number) for all local calls. Station to station on-campus calls will still be 5-digits.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has adopted 988 as a new three-digit number to be used nationwide to reach the National Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Crisis Lifeline, starting July 16, 2022. Customers must continue to dial 1-800-273-TALK to reach the Lifeline until July 16, 2022.

Pinnacle Telecommunications Billing System upgrade IS COMPLETE!

The Pinnacle Telecommunications billing system is complete and users are now able to login to view their bills or to make payments.

The user web interface has a different appearance, however, it still provides the same functionality. Instructions on using the new web interface are available here.

Binghamton University Information Technology Services and Residential Life are excited to announce that Spectrum University Live TV Streaming (SpectrumU) is now available to ALL students living in residence halls on campus. Over 200 channels can be streamed both wirelessly and from wired devices straight from your dorm room. SpectrumU is supported on several devices
